|My day and how it sucked

I've discovered what happens when you have a steady day without much interruption and no need for multitasking: it's almost intolerable. I was going nuts today, stir crazy. The huge assignment I'm working on has been extended to encompass another topic, so another several hours were spent searching case law. Now I have to read and digest another 130 pages of cases, and then put it all together into a legal opinion.
All of which would probably be easier if I hadn't spent the whole day on Saturday doing legal research. And a good portion of Sunday.
On the other hand, I read a case today where the plaintiff's name was Benny Bob Barrett. That's comedy gold, man.
And speaking of comedy, the human comedy of life took a snap at my ass today. Called Ferrett just before class started and got a stressed-sounding weasel. Had I listened to my voicemails? Well, no, because I'd been in the library and hadn't turned my phone on.
The garage is sealed shut like Tutankhamun's tomb. The opener won't work and the key we were given that was allegedly the release doesn't even go in the lock. Both cars are locked inside. I told him it would be okay, I'd check it when I got home and if I couldn't come up with anything we'd call the garage door guy tomorrow. At least this was the night that Scott was giving me a ride home.
Scott didn't show. Chomp.
Fortunately, my buns were rescued by Shannon, on whom I prevailed for a ride. She hauled my sorry - but intact - butt out here tonight.
I think I'll be taking the bus tomorrow.
