*hugs* So glad that something's happening. My mom was in a similar situation-- I feel for you.
I don't know what Oxycotin, but I'm guessing that it's some kind of medication. I'd suggest looking into alternative/herbal therapies if she's worried about things like that. I'll dig out some reliable links for information about that if you like?
Good news about Jon too! What a load of hassle. I hope the guy who called it in got a warning or something, and not just a slap on the wrist.
Enjoy the thinning of trees, and keep an eye out for those candles along the path :)
this is all so good to read. I had been wondering the last few days how she was. :) and that DUI thing dropped??? wow that is miraculous really :):)
**sends more positive thoughts**
Thank you for the update. I'm glad to hear things are looking up for them.

See, I can be useful some times. ;)
*hugs* Oh hun, that's great news! Kristi's been in my thoughts since you first brought it up, so I'm glad to hear there appears to be some progress.
I am glad to hear that things seem to be happening for Kristi. And the DUI being dropped is wonderful news.
Still sending positive energy their way.
Great news all around! See, sometimes those dang prosecutors can do something right. ;) (You have me second-guessing my two DWIs next week. *g*) Give Kristi our best.
It was definitely sloppy police work. And, yeah, prosecutors get pretty good at knowing which cases are hopeless. But you're doing good, important work there, girl.
I shall pass on everyone's good wishes.
I'm so glad things are starting to look up..
I have no idea if her insurance would cover this or not, but... Your sister should really look into acupuncture/acupressure. My father herniated a disc in his back several years ago and because of his age and arthritis the doctors told him it would probably be two years before he'd be pain free.
Luckily for him, we were both involved in martial arts at the time and our master gave him acupressure treatments. My father was almost completely recovered in two months and he swears it's the best thing he ever did.
...just a thought.
It's not a bad thought, and I will mention it to her. The bigger challenge may be finding someone in Montana who can do it.
On Both counts... seems like things are starting to look up for them again. I am glad to hear that.
Honesty (as in Jon's case) usually wins out in the end.
I'm glad things are getting better. Certainly good news was sorely needed.
I've been away from LJ for awhile and I'm trying to get caught up, so pardon the lateness.
I am SO happy to hear that things are turning around for them. That's great news. :) Please keep us all updated!
Gosh, no need to apologize to me about not getting around to reading journals; I am terribly behind, what with school and all. Thanks for the good wishes.
I feel like I've missed out on some information along the way, but I've been caught up in my own self-importance too.
I'm happy to hear the news for both Kristi and Jon.
Hey, no worries - believe me, I am shamefully behind on other people's journals bcause of school. I completely understand, and thank you.
Glad to hear that they've both figured out some of what's going wrong with Kristi and are starting to treat it. Dealing with a herniated disk m'self, I know how agonizing that can be, like not being able to walk to the corner and back without wondering if you're going to collapse and not be able to get up or get back. Depending on which nerves are getting compressed, that could have a lot to do with other problems beyond pain, too. that's also very cool about Jon's case getting dropped. While I generally think DUI should be prosecuted, this definitely sounds like a good exception.
I will continue to keep the fingers crossed 'n' good thoughts going out for them both.
Thanks. We're hoping that the nerve thing is what's messing her up, because of where it's located. Time will tell....
