Aii! Suckitude. *pet* *pet*
I wish I had time this weekend, and could go with you guys. I have an unholy love of long road trips (and have never been to Vermont).
Have a good trip, you two :)
Oh, too bad you can't come - it would be much fun!
I am fond of long road trips, too but generally prefer them with some window for sleep included....
You've got my pity! *makes mental note to make sure Meaghan, Michael & Kerrin go to schools that are NOT 10 hour drives*
Yes, well, I *tried* to talk her into a school nearby, but she was having none of it.
Darn these kids and their own plans for their lives!

What area of Vermont? Vermont used to be a very close drive for me and I went all the time. I'm trying to calculate why it's that long from Cleveland to Vermont.
Up by Burlington. Coshocton?
10 hours with no sleep and immediate turnaround? Urgh. My sympathies.
Excellent! I shall fuel myself upon pity!
Wow - my dad always told me that there was no excuse for whining. EVER. But you've found a good one. :)
*hug* Be careful on those roads! Pack lots of caffeinated beverages because it's going to be HARD to stay awake on that last leg back at night. If nothing else, maybe you should consider staying in a hotel on Saturday night and getting up early, early to drive back.
I intend to pack caffeine and protein. And sugar for the end of the trip.
Alas, I cannot stay because I need to be back here to pick up da weasel - and that I will not miss.
Pity he can't just fly into Burlington and drive back with me, but who knew?
I *do* pity you. Especially after pulling off the Blog-A-Thon last weekend.
We'd offer a temporary crashpad, but I don't think you're making a detour through Utah.
Use Mapquest to track down nearby public parks. Those are always my first choice for on-the-road naps. The parks will show up as pale green, and you'll have a local map to help you find it.
Sinec we are going to be on a park-like campus, I think there will be someplace crashworthy.
At least we can spell each other driving.
well shit! If i had the weekend off i'd LOVE a 10 hour drive! I love to take off sleep in the shade, do crazy stuff. My life is so boring lately! Try to see the fun side of it and have a safe time.
Can you reserve a room for a few hours respite??
If I'm really desperately tired, I may rent a room for a few hours. We'll see.
I love long drives, but 20 hours in 32 is a bit much.

Re: i refuse to pity you
Sure. Just don't laminate her.
Love you, sweetie!
Sorry I'm out of town.
If you would have actualy enjoyed this trip, I am amazed.
Wait .. 10 hours? Where the heck are you driving from and to? It's only 14 hours from here (Charlotte) to New Hampshire.
Cleveland. But it's only 7 hours from here to DC, and it was decidedly 10 hours+ getting to upstate Vermont.
