Great win! Go Sox!!!
Sometimes the good guys do win.
Now the Astros need to win so we can watch Clemens start against the team that gave him his first major league start.
That's okay; you don't get to be a sport powerhouse by taking losing gracefully.
i never gave up hope...
4 more wins.
Unecessary insulation, Gini? :-P
Four more wins to go before all of New England really goes insane. But for now we're enjoying this!
Greatest... comeback... ever!
The only thing that could've made it better was if the Sox had won by 11 runs tonight. :P But hey, 7 runs will most definitely do! I'm still convinced the three losses were a Red Sox plot to lull the Yankees into a false sense of security. Hehe!
Naw, the suspense was great what looked like possible rallies being shut down. It was a much more exciting game this way.
I find it to be interesting that the World Series could very well end up being Texas against Massachusetts.
Wait...that sounds SO familiar...
There is no way to describe the elation I feel right now over all this. We beat the Yankees, even if we don't get the series, fuck it. We did it.
The riot after the game last night also beats words. A lot of stuff got lit on fire, including a tree in the commons. There were big fancy fireworks being let off, I got sprayed with beer, there's TP and cans everywhere outside today... Well, you get the idea.
I never quite understood the "we're happy; let's get destructive!" mentality.
The riots at my college were relatively minor. There were a few arrests, but nothing serious happened.
UMass had about 50 arrests throughout the ALCS, but there were no major injuries or property damage. That surprises me. Last year when the Sox lost, UMass was hell.
Boston is another story however. It was so crazy over there that one person was actually killed while the police were trying to control the crowds.
