I might as well say it, too, since everyone else on LJ has. Just take a bit of advice from the old Lottery slogan:

"If you don't play, you can't whinge."

That brings up a burning question:

How does one pronounce "whinge"? Is it the same as "whine"? And does it have the same meaning? I've been wondering this since seeing that letter address to Harry Potter in Little Whinging and wondering if it is pronounced "Little Whining."

"winj". Vaguely similar to whining, but with a little more of a 'vocal' component. (Dogs can whine, people can whinge).

Ish anyway :)

I've heard it pronounced to rhyme with "fringe."

Unfortunatley many of us can't play but will suffer anyway. I reserve the right to whinge.

Whinge, whinge, whinge.

Oh wait. I was supposed to do this after the results were in, wasn't I?

A little pre-game whinging is allowed from the German contingent. You're all so good at it!
