I just now finished the last of my original reading for classes. Final day of classes is Tuesday, then my finals are Tuesday May 10, Thursday May 12, and Monday May 16. I have one weekend to prepare for two major finals, and an obligaton to participate in a Habitat for Humanity project next Saturday.
My evenings for the coming two weeks are going to consist of studying studying studying. I am already appallingly behind on reading my flist, and it's only going to get worse. If you write anything you really want me to see, please please PLEASE drop me a line at zoetheatyahoodotcom so I don't miss it. Don't feel self-conscious about doing so - I hate it when I bump into references to a really important post that my schedule caused me to miss.
And now, however, I AM going for a bike ride. To celebrate finishing the frickin' evidence reading.
Heh, great icon for this post. Hang in there over the next couple of weeks and take good care of yourself.
going for a bike ride. To celebrate
Years ago, I was chatting with someone who worked at the fencing booth at Dickens. He ended with "I wish I could talk to you all day, but I have to go fence. Well, actually, I get to go fence!" This is the attitude I need to own. Let me join the contest to be the thousandth person to tell you what an inspiration you've been with your fitness posts.
Aw thank you. I'm glad people are getting a lot out of it - I know it helps me!
I've only seen tangential evidence of the fitness program, as mentioned by you and theferrett
, but would like to join the main feed, if you don't mind.
Actually, it is your time management skills I find inspiring, as I don't seem to squeeze nearly as much into my day. Bravo!
You've been added to the fitness filter now.
I think the more you have to accomplish, the more you do. If I don't have much to do, I can be quite successful at getting none of it done!
I guess. I won't send you links to my situation, as I know you have MUCH to read right now, but I assure you that I am in a harder spot than a lot of people. And my problem has always been a rigor mortis of inactivity when faced with a particularly large challenge. I've always admired those who can visualize that mountain as a manageable collection of small tasks, and GET GOING.
No, I don't mind. I just can't go find them for myself these days.
And I frequently have those moments of panic wherein I can't figure out where to start first. This is generally when I go get a cup of coffee, take a deep breath, and think of other things for a few moments before choosing a place to start. But every time - every time - there is a moment when I wonder whether this time is the one where I can't figure it out. It's never comfortable or fun.
Well, if you ever feel like reading the sob story, its here
. I've also had a ... suboptimal experience with the Cleveland Clinic, albeit the Florida facility.
God, that's hard. I'm sorry you're going through so much hell. It's got to be frustrating for your wife as well - no one wants to be a valitudenarian.

Best of luck on finals! I'm taking two tomorrow morning, from 8:30am-1:00pm. I feel your pain.
Hm. Finals AND Habitat? That's dedication. :)
I usually do Habitat on the weekends in between midterms and such. It's always so much fun, though--I still can't hammer to save my life, though.
[Two snaps with a twist] You GO, girl!
Good luck with the finals. Just keep reminding yourself it will be all over in a couple of weeks!
Good luck with the finals. Sounds like you have a tough two weeks ahead but we know you can do it and do it well.
