On our way to the opera last night, Ferrett was attempting to put on his necktie on the run. Quite literally - we were walking through the parking garage while he fumbled. After a few minutes he let out a frustrated sigh.

"I can't do this. Between the coat and the suitjacket and the shirt, there's just no way."

"Can't figure out where it goes?" I asked. He nodded, rolling his eyes.

"So, in other words," I continued, "you're having problems with your collar I.D."

Elixir of Love. Beautifully sung, horribly miked, and the entire set was made of scaffolds and stepladders. Couldn't blame them for the set, though, since it was charity; the set had been rented from New Orleans, but there was this hurricane you may have heard of, and rather than trying to find another set they forgave the debt and did their own low-budget version.

The Elixer of Love by Donazetti. It's a favorite of mine because the music is so beautiful. It was sung quite well, and we really enjoyed it. The set was extremely simple - literally stage platforms, ladders and crates - because the original plan had been to rent a set from the New Orleans Opera, but rather than cancel the contract they forgave NO the obligation and let them keep the money, and built a home-made set themselves. Which I thought was really cool of them.

Entirely off-topic

I don't know if this woman has what Kristi had, but from my limited knowledge, it sounds like she might. Would you be able to point her toward resources, perhaps?

Re: Entirely off-topic

I will flag this message and reply to her later. I hope for her sake she doesn't have it.
