Congratulations on getting the group project done! That's got to be a relief.
When is the paper due? And when will you be entirely done with school?
Paper is due the 15th. At which point I will be done with school.
Bar review starts the 23rd. At which point it will be like school all over again, but without the original thought part, which will actually be kind of a relief.
Well done on finishing the group project. That must be a relief.
Congrats on the group paper finish! Did your members come through for you?
There was contribution from all members, and I "beefed up" everything with graphics. The two non-contributors each chucked about 4 pages my way. The rest is divided between the other 3 of us.
Glad that you got some support. Slackers are bad, but when they're your team members, it is really the pits!
I just re-read what you originally said. You put together a 140 pg. project, and 2 members produced only FOUR pages!!!?? Unreal!!
Yeah, and I had to nag them to get that much out of them.
And it was, after all, four pages each. [eyeroll]
Pitiful! How do these people look themselves in the mirror?
oh, no. It's a whole gig. They look appropriately hangdog and guilty, but don't have to do any actual work.
Does the professor know which people really worked and who rode their coattails?
My daughter said we should give out their names, so when/if they actually become lawyers, we'll know who to avoid!
If he studies the timesheet, he will know. And I can't ethically say who it was.
Congrats on getting the project done. Best of luck on the Corporations test. When I was working in insurance and had to analyze a bunch of corporate stuff for financial planning, it helped me to think of the corporation as a person. Otherwise it all seemed to be gobbledegook to me too.
Even when you are not consciously working on your paper, part of your mind will be ruminating on it. Hopefully that will make it go much faster when you can get back to it. I think the fact that you are going to law school is awesome in and of itself. Peace~~~Ellen
It's a double-edged sword. The corporation is a "person," but the fiduciary duty of its officers is to the shareholders, so sometimes the corporation's personhood is subsumed. Getting it all straight - over 1070 pages of caselaw and regs - is daunting.
Not to distract you at a crucial point in law school graduating fromming...but what would you like to be the plan for the 21st? Jesse was wondering if he should order movie tickets online...and if so..when and for what... Good luck with everything!
I think by Sunday afternoon we should be able to get into pretty much anything, so no need to order online. Do you want to see DaVinci Code?

Da Vinci code sounds good! And I totally think we should revisit the steak and lube for lunch :P Actually, any place with good salad will make me the happiest expatriate American ever...
We can probably manage that. ;-)
Whoops...that was me, forgetting to log in..
Well, h'ok, maybe you did....but..I just didn't want to come off as some crazy stalker trying to horn in on our movie afternoon..How's the monster project coming?
Monster project's handed in. Monster paper still looms, but is on the back burner while I prepare for monster final.
I have been monster lazy the last couple days, though, and gotten decent nights' sleep by not getting up early. Must stop doing that - too much to do, but I think I needed it before the final press.

after Corporations, finish the paper.
Congratulations....LOL.watch the two slacker go out and be the damn high powered mega buck attorneys with a bunch of leagal aides doing their work....I'm surprised you got 4 pages! The other paper will come in it's ouwn time and once you buckle down it will smooth out....hope you do well in your Corporations final.....girl this phase of your life is almost over....now just get through these next two weeks, then a small breather then bar class again! And after that the fun starts.....lots of research, lots of reading but getting paid to do it.....what type of attorney do you want to practice? Corporate Law??

Re: after Corporations, finish the paper.
Domestic relations, most likely. NOT corporations!!!!
