A wee meme, from jeanniemac. I haven't memed in ages, but I like this one

1) Name 5 comfort books, books that you read over and over:
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkein
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Harry Potter and the ______ (pretty much any of them will do as comfort reading) by J.K. Rowling
Dealing with Dragons by Patricia Wrede

2) Name 5 songs that you will always have in your collection:
"Total Eclipse of the Heart" - Bonnie Tyler
"Desperado" - Linda Ronstadt's cover
"Once in a Very Blue Moon" - Nancy Griffith
"Zombie Jamboree" - Rockapella
"Crying" - Roy Orbison

3) Name 5 comfort movies, movies that you watch over and over again:
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (or, if I have to choose one, Fellowship)
Star Wars (as jeannie said, the original Han-Shot-First version)
The Princess Bride
Casablanca
Singin' in the Rain

Answer if you will...

Miss you lots, ya know!!

Btw, as far as I'm concerned LotR is one book (and as a result, one movie) cause that's how Tolkein wanted it.

Definitely one book. Perhaps arguable if one movie.

Miss you, too, though I'm no fun this summer.

lol...I was just going to comment, "is it a bad thing that I find 'Hannibal,' by Thomas Harris, comfort reading?" but then saw that "Silence" made your list...glad to see I'm not alone.

(Um, I know neither of you, btw, just stalking also_huey's Flist out of boredom...don't mind me.)

The Dealing With Dragons books are just so much fun. I keep idly hoping someone will make a really good movie of the first one!

Erin first read them in first grade, and loved them so much she insisted that I read them, and her dad read them, and her baby sister read them, and then she was going to "prop it up in front of the dog so he could read it" - she kind of loved that book!

FYI - After Friday night's hijinks I added you to the read regularly list. Probably should have done that after our "Star Wars Expanded Universe Books as Methadone" conversation, but I've always been a bit slow.
