Wow, am I exhausted. I haven't had the energy to do anything since we got back. I'm dragging myself through the work day and then pretty much collapsing at night. Yesterday I managed to get all the laundry from the trip washed and dried, though there are still clothes to fold and my basement looks like a laundry with all the clothes hanging to dry.

My reaction to this small accomplishment was to expect praise heaped upon me as if I had run the Boston Marathon (poor Ferrett) because it sort of felt like that level of effort. I've attempted to read my flist, but I am using up all available brain power at work.

Can't think; have teh dumb.

Also have a screaming headache. This is not helping the situation in the least.

yakavenger is coming to town tomorrow morning for a weekend of visiting, and I'm squealy-thrilled that she's going to be here. But I realized yesterday evening that Amy's quilt is in bits and pieces all over the bed where she was going to sleep, and I don't have the energy to clear it off.

Oh, well, she is a tiny thing. She can sleep on the twin bed in my office. It's much warmer than downstairs, too. It will be better for her. [nods sagely]

The weekend after, Erin arrives for a spring break visit.

The year has been moving at a breakneck pace so far - gee, I wonder why....

YAY! YOU DID LAUNDRY! THANK YOU!

This is not sarcasm. This is just me not realizing how much you needed to be thanked for your efforts. And I will, 'cause it's nice to have laundry and THANK YOU!

Huggles,
T.F.

Hubby's brother and SIL only had 3 children. She told me once, years ago, that you will never have the laundry done. You can spend all day washing drying, folding, ironing if necessary and putting everything away. Then the evening comes, everyone takes off their dirty clothes and you start all over again. I'm happy to get it clean and sorted. Everyone older than 5 can either put their own stuff away or wear it out of the clean laundry basket. I put my and the 3 little kids clothes away.

With just the two of us it is not nearly as daunting as what you face!
