Ok. I'll squee about the fact that I have, at home, copies of the new Kushiel's Legacy book, *AND* the new John Scalzi book. Neither of which is out for at least a month.
I'm so made of squee about those books. :)
Those are indeed good reasons for squee.
I think that the only thing to say in this circumstance is:
"You evil wench."
You are so lucky! Argh!
My wife is twitching waiting for the second book to come out. When I told her October, she practically had a seizure.
It feels me with glee to know that part of it was written in my living room. And I am just savoring the very existence of the book before I dive into it.
Oh, man. I bet. Just looking at the computer, knowing it is there. Just...waiting...
I don't HATE you, per se... I just...WANT IT!

If she's on the list, it should be in her in-box.

She's gonna all over the walls when I get home. From having exploded with joy, of course.
I doublechecked - her email is on the list. Expect explosion. ;-)
You know, in my brain-addled excitement of my original idea, dealing with the first work, I also never thought we'd get the whole book to work with.
It makes the knitting project a wee bit more intimidating. *blush*
BUT..also exciting! I hope what I make does not suck!
I know the feeling, my dear! I know the feeling.
I feel the sting of my beginner knitting status keenly. *sigh*
I will do my best!
(Yes, I'm rubbing it in. Shame on me.)
*experiences extreme jealousy*
Hmm...on the other hand..does this mean that there will be a Girl in the Garden, Part II?
Oh, yes. There is definitely a part 2, coming out in October.
W00t! Btw, have you heard Shangrai-La yet?
Sooj posted a new downloadable song on her Myspace called Shangri-la. It is fantastic. I put it on my Driving Home shuffle. It makes me happy.
Ooo, I must go look for it.
Though not right now. Right now I'm battling my way through a huge (5000+ page) document that I am trying to tame. Attempting to do anything else on my computer would make it 'splody.
"Honey, hold still. I think you have motherboard in your hair..."
I'm really, really jealous!
I shall, but I must admit that I am intimidated by the task of producing art that lives up to the book!
Oh, you meanie!
I tried to pre-order it with an Amazon.co.uk gift certificate I got for my birthday. No pre-orders in the UK yet. That sucks!
But then again, I'll prolly just buy it through Amazon.de, and save the GC for a computer game (which would be in German if I bought it though A.de.) Ah, the complicated life I lead...
I did think of you, I must admit. ;-)
ACK! that is so amazing and I am incredibly jealous! look at me! I'm turning GREEN!
I have no shame.
you do realize that we're all going to nag you mercilessly for a peek, right?
And the answer shall be NO!
I had to promise.
thank goodness there's harry potter in between.
