Zombie Gini: PAAAAAINS [Oct. 26th, 2008|01:54 pm]

[Current Mood |soresore]

Went to PA yesterday to attend the wedding of lyssabard and tlttlotd, which was gorgeous and wonderful. The bride wore scarlet, the groom was radiant, and the whole thing was marvelous. After dinner and cake cutting, the dancing began. And did we dance. We danced for hours.

This morning I woke up in the hotel and yawned and stretched - and something in my neck and right shoulder went "scrooonch." Now I can't turn my head to the right. Ow ow ow. If it had to happen, at least it was after the wedding.

I think it's far better to wake up sore from too much revelry than waking up sore from too much hard work. XD But yeah, it's better not to wake up sore at all.

I'm just recovering from a very similar injury, only its the left side. After more than a week, I went to the doctor who gave me mild neck exercises, recommended wet heat, Aleve, and prescribed a muscle relaxant. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh, poor Gini! I know how you feel. I did that to my neck some years ago when I was parking at work. I twisted around a little bit too quick one morning to get a view behind my car, and I just totally wrenched my neck. Then I kept forgetting I couldn't turn my neck and experienced pain every time I tried to do so. It took a few days for the tenderness to go away. I hope you feel better soon!

Wow, sorry about your neck...

Do you have a chiropractor?

Having a friending frenzy tonight if you'd like to stop by and maybe promote in in your journal? :)

Re: Wow, sorry about your neck...

Aw, sorry, I was away from the computer for the evening.

I don't have a chiropractor here. My current insurance doesn't cover it, but Ferrett's company is changing insurance companies soon, so maybe I will get coverage then.

Re: Wow, sorry about your neck...

Have you checked into local rates? We find at times that the ins co-pay is actually higher than what we would charge for a non-insured patient. (Sad but true.) Just a thought.
