Did you get it tightly braided? Some of the clients at the shelter where I used to work complained their hair hurt just after being braided. Hope it feels better soon!
No, just have some nasty bug that's making me miserable in every fiber of my being.
That's how a really bad fibromyalgia flareup feels. :( Hope you feel better SOON!
Wow, that sucks. I feel for you. And thanks.
I learned a new trick that might help you!
Get the liquid kiddy motrin, and gargle it! Gargle it as long as you can, then just swallow it. Apparently it gets absorbed through the membranes there, and help sooth the throat.
My coworker's doc had recommended that trick to her years ago, and she says it helps a lot.
Good to know. When I get the gumption up to leave the house, I will stop and get some.
Ooooh, honey, I have been there!
*pets and sends you some virtual chicken soup*
And might I recommend some Panacea?
Make some tea (I like the Celestial Seasonings Echinacea Wellness Tea), put on about 1-3 TABLESPOONS of honey, and about a shot of whiskey or brandy. Sip and relax.
It really takes the edge of a lousy cold and makes it easier to nap.
I will do that, but first I have to do the work I need to get done. Which I am completely unmotivated to do. Guh.
Ick. There is nothing worse than feeling that crummy and having to work!!!!!!!!!!
The only people in my house not sick right now are my 16 yr old, my 4 yr old and me... At least Sam (2) is getting over the stomach bug he has had for a week now. All he wants to do is nurse, drink juice and be held.
Poor little guy. And poor you! That's a lot of people sick.
*looks at when your visitors arrived*
*ponders gestation time of virii*
*realizes people at work who are currently on vacation will return tomorrow*
Think I'll get me to a drugstore pronto. There are few things as bad as feeling as sick as you do, but feeling that sick and standing in line for half an hour to get meds is probably worse. That sounds pretty dreadful: my sympathies.
It's true. I stopped today on the way back from an unavoidable client visit and stocked up at the grocery store, and the lines weren't bad.
Seconding the suggestion about tea with honey and brandy. And sending sympathy.
Just finished the work I *had* to do today. Now going to carry out this plan.
Glad to hear it. Feel better, hon!
Ugh, I'm sorry to hear it! Hope you feel better soon!

hugs from afar
ouch. being sick (especially after a great weekend) is always a downer.
i woke up sunday with the weirdest sore throat - it hurt in the back of my throat in my chest, not up in the neck. slept all day and felt better, so i hope you can get some rest
chinese folk remedy for a sore throat - simmer a pear and a bit of ginger on the stove until the pear's cooked through. (i usually don't bother to peel the pear because i don't mind peel, but if your throat really hurts you might want to.) add honey to taste. eating it while it's warm is best.
i swear it's not as complicated as it looks, and it really does make you feel better.

Re: hugs from afar
I'll try to remember when I am next at the store.
