It's like a spork for your body!!! [Mar. 17th, 2009|06:28 pm]

[Current Mood |giddyexhausted and giddy]

Enough melancholy. It was a gorgeous day here today. So gorgeous, so mild, that I was able to break out my favorite article of clothing ever invented. The skort!

Skorts are a miracle of innovation. Dressier than shorts, yet not so dressy that you can't wear them with tennis shoes. In fact, the tennis shoe is an appropriate match; after all, before there was the skort, there was the tennis skirt. Unlike a tennis skirt, however, the skort actually has an inner lining of a pair of shorts. This, through some fashion alchemy, takes the clothing item off the court and onto the street.

Erin and I walked to the post office this afternoon so that I could mail a package, and I wore my skort and a t-shirt. The sun shone upon us, a mild breeze tousled our hair.

By tomorrow night, it's supposed to be 37 degrees and snowing.

But I don't care. Winter's last desperate grasps can't take away my glee.

Skort!!!!

Re: this poster is on cold meds

That site looks awesome!! I'm not on cold meds, strictly on exhaustion, but it's trippy enough. Staggering over too look at your blog, too.

It was tantalizingly gorgeous here, too (yeah, I know that's relative, here being the SF Bay Area, but trust me, we actually do get weather variations). I asked my love to come walk outside with me, and we got in a good mile and a half in the lovely air.

You know, that makes tons of sense! Now I am sorely tempted to use my next paycheck to buy some, as I am certainly sick of thigh rash. ;D

Under longer skirts? Cheap cotton bike shorts. They are the BOMB.

I love skorts/scooters (as they're called at my Retail Employer). I didn't bust one out today, but it was 70 here in Milwaukee, as part of Summer Teaser Part III. tomorrow = 48 and raining.

I do not disagree, but that subject line was a bit scary. I really don't want to think of interesting ways sporks could interact with my body. ;-)

But it amused me, and that's all that really counts. ;-)
