OH! That color in the bedroom is AMAZING! I love it all but the bedroom and the guest room are my favorites. Great-looking choices!
The bedroom makes me happy every time I go in there.
Oh wow! That has come up nice. I love it. You're giving me ideas for my house now.
It feels like I've gotten away with something wonderful! I encourage you to paint to your heart's content.
Paint is so cheap, I always pity the people who won't paint their rooms because it might reduce the resale of the house. I say life is too short to live with institutional walls.
For us, it was a matter that there was a lot of damage that needed to be patched from when we'd had the walls insulated, and I was hesitant to take on such a big project with so little experience. I'm ecstatic with the results.
I hate my kitchen counters because they are "Dirty Almond". It's a tossup as to which I hate more, almond-colored counters that always look dirty, or almond-colored counters that are impossible to clean. I've had both, I hated both. I'm saving up my pennies for manufactured granite, like Silestone, Zodiaq, or Corian. :)
The kitchen is a project for somewhere further down the road - it's been redone at least once and so isn't bad, but it could be much better.
Your walls and floors look fantastic! It is making me itch to finally correct our own walls...
We finally did this because Ferrett was inspired by a house he saw and it motivated us. Go for it!
Your house looks really nice. You guys made a wise decision paying somebody else to paint your house. It sounds like you two were busy enough getting stuff out of the way and then putting it back.
It would take MONTHS for us to accomplish what he did in 10 days, and we would be in chronic uproar instead of the acute uproar that will certainly be over by the end of this month. Very much worth it.
My favorite pic is the second bedroom one - the color of the dresser and stuff against the purple.
And no clutter in sight! :)
I love the "no clutter" part. I want to keep it that way.
My kitchen has yellow counter tops to match your dining room walls. I'm really itching to paint here, too. Especially since your house is so similar to mine in some ways.
Our house is similar to almost every house built in the 50s! It is a very efficient - if unexciting - floorplan.
And do it! Paint! It's worth it!!
WOW! It looks so fantastic. The floors are so great, and the colours! You must be so pleased to have your house back -- and so beautiful.
I am. Every time I walk into my bedroom I am wowed. I've never lived anywhere that wasn't eggshell, and this is just thrilling me to bits.
It looks awesome. I'd love bold colours like that on my walls but being in a rented place I have to stick with neutrals.
Naw, go for it. Repaint before you leave. It's worth it!

Re: :: drools ::
It's just a simple 50s ranch, but the paint really livens it up!
All the paint is Sherwin Williams, but the purple was a custom mix from a paint sample we'd picked up at Lowe's from the Martha Stewart collection (I think) called Plum Raisin. It is to die for. I love it so much.
Love, love, love all the color. Especially the purple bedroom! Although I may be a bit biased
What a terrific reward after the last few weeks of chaos, all beautiful floors and walls the color of jewels!
