Stuck in CLE. Believe that eating my fellow lawyers, though amusing as fantasy, is probably unethical - and this being an ethics seminar probably unwise despite the amusing irony that would arise.

So, I dunno. Seems like a good "ask me anything" sort of day.

I work in a law school, and I would think that you would need a hell of a lot of tenderizer to make any lawyer (except possibly you) palatable.

I think it's also illegal to devour lawyers, even in meetings.

Entertainment lawyer to the stars!

Kidding aside, probably legal research pro. I like helping people, but clients are kind of a pain. Otherwise, what I'm doing now, mostly.

Is anyone actually evil, or is it all just a matter of ignorance?

Yes, there are people who are evil. I recall reading a Dear Abby column wherein the writer was aware that he was aware that someone was innocently but mistakenly building a house on the lot owned by the writer. His plan was that he would wait until it was finished and then take the house, getting it for free. Of course it would not be allowed, but it was an evil plan designed to intentionally injure another person.

Plus, Glenn Beck.

I am so not going to make the really obvious joke here. But I'm thinking it. ;)

Respect both yourself and your partner as a complete and separate people. You don't own them; they don't own you. If you think you somehow "complete" each other, you need to beef up your self-respect.

And keep a sense of humor.

If money were no object, what would you do to make yourself happy with your yard?

Wow. I'd build an outdoor kitchen and patio. And a jacuzzi.

If you have all the time in the world to make quilts, what are some of the patterns you would tackle?

I'd pretty much go with novel fiber arts projects rather than patterns.

I HATE CLE. I sat through 7 hours of it last week and spent most of that working on a cross-stitch, daring the narrators to question me and my nine-month-pregnant mood. They didn't.

They can only force you to show up; they can't force you to pay attention. Mostly I manage to find ones that are interesting, but not always - as in today.

I read the book written by the lawyer who defended Ted Bundy in his appeals while on death row. I found it really fascinating and thought you might too. (By the way, you can easily get this on inter-library loan as I did.) http://www.amazon.com/Defending-Devil-Story-Bundys-Lawyer/dp/0688108237/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1289614489&sr=1-1
