It's one of the brands I'm looking at.
I really am impressed. Beautiful, beautiful job.
Those countertops are just gorgeous! I bet they are truly amazing in person!
Thanks! I am loving them, though still a bit intimidated at the idea of making a mess in my new kitchen!
thats a gorgeous combo of yellow and purpls.. may i ask what brand and the color name??
They are Sherwin Williams paints, but alas, the purple is a custom mix. The yellow is called something like "intense yellow" or "sincere yellow" or "not-fucking-around yellow" but I can't remember just now. Will try to find it and let you know!
Fabulous! Always happy to see people go bold in color choices. Live it up, I say.
Me too, now! For years I was too timid to do it, but wow am I glad I got over that!
Chrome fridge, very shiny! :)
Stainless appliances will eventually be the "harvest gold" and "avocado," but I do love them.
All I can say is, be brave! The thing about paint is that it's relatively easy to change out if you need to.
Your new kitchen is GORGEOUS. And I just love the colors you chose for all of the house.
The colors in my house make me very happy.
Very nice. I've been watching this with interest, some day, hopefully a log time from now, I'll probably have to deal with my grandmother's house. (Realistically though, she's 90) It was last remodeled in 1972, and it has wall to wall carpet. Whether I move in, or sell it, the kitchen will have to be re-done, my folks will invariably suggest we go through a moderately competent friend of a friend, so I'll need to be INFORMED.
Carpeting kitchens was one of those short-lived but truly awful fads.
I can't say this wasn't expensive, but I was fortunately enough to have industry connections and get stuff at discount. I know people who have saved money by refronting old cabinets, if they weren't unhappy with the layout of the kitchen--either new doors, or sanding and painting the old doors and fronts--and it's worked out okay.
I LOVE YOUR KITCHEN.
Yes. I used all caps. On purpose.
Thanks, dear. Come visit sometime!!
While I, too, love your new kitchen, I also have to comment to say that that clock is also made of win and awesome too.
… they make infra-red bins now? WTF?
/me goes to search these strange things down…
Me, too! Several people thought I was crazy, but I believed in it, and it is awesome!
I love it!! Love the vibrant colors, and all that light! And the flooring is just beautiful in there.
And here is a COMPLETELY UNASKED-FOR suggestion: outlets and outlet covers in the backsplash are a pretty strong contrast to that beautiful countertop color: thoughts of switching them to dark grey or black?
Congratulations on creating such a fabulous new space in your house!!!!!!
They don't look as harsh in real life, but there is some consideration underway.
Love the flooring!! Appliances are way cool too, as is The Clock!
What are the white things on the black riser? Lights? White tile? Outlets? Enquiring minds, not able to get the picture big enough to actually see what's going on there ... ??
The colors are a bit bright for my taste. Then again, if that's how *your* taste runs, I can really see how the beige with cornflower blue little flowers wallpaper must have made you just crazy ... so CONGRATS!! on getting what you really love.
Outlets. Not as white as that IRL, but switch to black may happen. And thanks!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOMG, sooooo sexxxy!
I know I've seen it in person but I will still ooh and ahh over these pictures. The contrast is amazing.
It's pretty astounding, I have to say. My "before" kitchen was so invisible to me at the time that I'm pretty shocked by the pictures of it!
I already said I have kitchen envy over on Ferrett's, but it bears repeating.
Also, I don't think the dishwasher sticks out as badly as you do. It matches the outlets, after all.
I notice it much more than I do the outlets. But it's not horrible.
Love your colors!!! What a great kitchen.
I love the colors in your kitchen, particularly that purple.
I adore the purple. As I've said other places, some people have thought I was crazy, but I stuck to my convictions, and most the doubters have come around.
That's not a chicken! It's Ronald Rooster!
Is it creepy that I want to rub my naked body all over your kitchen?
Yeah, that's probably creepy. Okay, your kitchen came out really gorgeous. I'm glad you did it your own way.
You completely cracked me up.
And gave me interesting mental postcards. Hmmmm....
I have the envy, that looks fantastic.
I love all your counter space, and the colors! And that cool clock in the second to last picture. :)
Thanks, I love it all, too!
