Hope you have a fun time while you're there! Enjoy being 4 while you can.
(It's good to hear from you; miss your posts.)
Just been so darned busy that I haven't had the time or energy to write. I miss posting! (Of course, I never get those "OMG I thought you were dead!" responses because everyone knows that Ferrett would tell you if something were wrong, but it's nice to know I've been missed! ;-} )
OMG that is the best icon I have ever seen. hahahahaha
I stolded it from someone else, of course. I couldn't resist.

no one can resist Christopher Walken!! :)
I am immediately pointing jhandfield
to that awesome icon.
That icon is pure evil. I heartily approve!

That sounds relaxing!!
And I know you need a break - so here's hoping it's a nice, restorative one! :)
Oh, no, it won't be. It will be nonstop running about like a headless chicken.
But the court schedule for the three days between Christmas and the new year is minimal, so I might have a couple days of relaxation.

Lol... I meant relaxing for YOU. Usually you're running about like a HERD of headless chickens... you do 5x as much as a normal human being... so only doing 3x as much is a break! ;)
True, it will definitely be fun!
I can understand the draw of letting go and letting it happen around you. Enjoy.
Thanks! It will be hectic, but fun.
My being a type-A, take charge person, you might think this would bother me. In reality, I'm finding it delightfully refreshing.
I'm not surprised at all. Being a Type A personality and all that's goes with it gets old. I finally came to the realization that I was a Type A and some of the behaviors that went along with it were really destructive, so I've tried to keep the good parts of being a Type A, and letting go of the bad parts. So, I totally understand where you're coming from. :-)
Yeah, I imagine you would. It does require a vacation from personal impulse that you have to take.
Are you on the side of CT nearer to Ohio or the side nearer to Rhode Island? Cause I'm here and I'd love to meet you while you're here, but seem to remember Ferrett's family living on the other side.
Um, the part nearer to New York?
We have had to say sorry, no to a lot of friends already this trip because there just isn't time. We do need to make a trip for friends up there sometime soon.
Like a four-year-old child, I will climb in and out of the car as I'm told, be driven around town, and go in and out of houses and restaurants as instructed
That was us this past Thanksgiving. For the last nine Thanksgivings, we have hosted dinner for both of our families. The holiday was spent with us in the kitchen cooking and trying to get the other "cooks" to stop bugging us. Which was then followed by cleaning up the dishes afterwards.
This year, my in-laws did dinner. All we had to do was show up, eat, and relax. It was fantastic.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
You have, in one fell swoop, made me SO JEALOUS!!! of your holiday plans.
And also a little in awe of your icon.
I did not create it, but I do dearly love it.
I am happy with our plans.
I'm sure I'll be thinking of them with grumbly longing at least 100,000 times per day starting on Sunday.
Glad to hear you're going to let someone else take the reins for a while. We ALL need to do that occasionally, but Type A's need it the most! And you , my dear, are a supreme example of Type A!! I hope you can truly lean back and relax and enjoy the flow. Have a wonderful time. (I miss your posts, glad to hear from you.)
I need more time for posting. Unfortunately, I also haven't finished how to avoid that pesky sleep thing.
