Meme-tasticness [Apr. 29th, 2009|09:42 am]
Zoethe
I have a long day of dull computer stuffs ahead of me, so I'll join in on the fun going around LJ.

A meme, stolen from catvalente, theferrett, aiela, bec76, and just about everyone else out there:

One question.

One chance.

One honest answer.

That's all you get.

You get to ask me one question.

Any question, anything, no matter how crazy, dirty, or wrong it is.

I'm not going to screen questions or answers, but anonymous questions are allowed. Screening is a pain in the butt and, really, reading the questions and answers has been fascinating. If it's something you don't want in public, post the comment and the delete it so that I'll get it in my email but it won't be visible, or just email me.

Can I ask more than one? (this is not my question... answer all or one if I am thus limited. as you so choose)

1. Alternate reality... for whatever reason, you and Ferrett switch rolls. What would life be like for you as a writer, tech guru and online comic author?

2. You're sent back in time to the Pillars of the Earth world. What would your occupation be?

3. You switch bodies with one of your children for an unspecified amount of time. What would you most like to re-live in a Freaky Friday/13 Going on 30/Big/etc. sort of scenario?

4. You and Ferrett (or other person of choice) get free tickets to a bellydance show this Sunday in Toledo. Would you go?

5. Do you speak any foreign languages? If so, what? If not, what would you like to learn, if any?

6. You are presented with 51 live chickens as a belated birthday gift. What would you do with them?

7. UPS or Fed Ex?

8. It's the end of the world as we know it. What would you like for your last dinner?

9. You have an office full of paperwork and less than a week to box everything up to get new carpeting. You still have your day job. When does everything get boxed up/sorted?

10. What do you miss most about not working in a "regular" office?

1. I can't imagine being a tech guru, and I lack his writing discipline. I'd probably be unemployed.

2. Midwife

3. Our houseboat trip on Lake Powell because it was a billion kinds of awesome.

4. No; I'll be at Penguicon, and he'll be at a bellydance show in Columbus!

5. I speak a few words of Spanish. If I could choose a superpower, it would be to speak and read all sentient languages.

6. Scream? Then take them to a local farm and trade for veggies and eggs.

7. FedEx, because their location is more convenient.

8. Thai curry with a sushi appetizer. And a can of chocolate frosting for dessert.

9. I'm a demon for projects like that. It would be done in between things and completed in plenty of time.

10. Wow, not much. Water cooler conversation is about it.

5. This. I used to play a HERO/Champions RPG and there was a power called "universal translator" that basically involved being able to understand and speak all languages. Would be nice to have that power... in the meantime, I'm working at it the hard way. Learned German in high school and college. Starting to learn Arabic. Know a smattering of words in a few other languages...

9. I should be a demon for such projects, but seem to be procrastinating on this one and some around my house... guess I prefer answering LJ comments or other things for the time being... but I did start on some boxes earlier today...

10. For what I do, client interaction and being close to them is important, but I would prefer not to have the commute on either end of my day... although I am using my morning commute to listen to Arabic language lessons, so it's not all bad... just wish I had started other languages or learnings of some sort several years ago...
