This one is about staying on target when the day is off-track.

Also, I'm about to be really irritated with the Dell people about my lovely new computer. The "a" key keeps flipping up and showing me its underbelly. Not coming off, but not exactly a tight fit. Grr.

And gods am I tired. I am trying to make it to 8pm before going to sleep. It's touch and go whether that's going to happen.

Almost always with me I find that if I'm tired, I really need to take a nap in order to function. If I make myself stay up, I just get more and more spacey-headed and get a horrible headache.

Mostly, I avoided the self-defeatist attitude that once the day is bumped off-track it’s unrecoverable. That’s that OCD thing I am trying to overcome. And today I did it.

Yeah, I finally realized I had the OCD tendency to see life in all or nothing terms. I've gotten much better at being able at realizing that half a loaf is better than none. And by doing so I usually have gotten a fair amount done. For a long time I didn't realize I had these OCD tendencies, so I wasn't able to recognize and remedy them.

I found this very relatable. When I can set my own schedule to early-bed-early-rise, I'm unstoppable, but throw even a grain of sand into my clockwork and I pinwheel out of control.
