Mary Poppins and her lullabies can bite me [Feb. 26th, 2010|01:46 am]
Zoethe
[Current Mood |weirdweird]

Why is it that:

a) I have this weird compulsion to stay up late and be irresponsible, and

b) Everyone else in the world appears to have been all grownup and has gone to bed at a sane hour?

Everything about me is screaming, PLAY WITH ME. Ferrett, wisely, has patted me on the head and fled to the comfort of the covers.

Bazinga.

::laughs:: Go to bed, young lady!

(I do exactly the same thing many nights. The sooner you go to bed, the sooner you have to get up and face YET ANOTHER DAY. Horrors.)

When my older daughter was a month shy of 3 years old, she came to me one day and said, "Mommy! I'm just like an owl! I sleep all day and stay up all night! I'm nocturnal!"

All I can say is, she comes by it honest.

Except for the part where you get into just the perfect position and the most amazingly snuggled up nest of blankets and pillows - right when you need to get up....

Which I could be enjoying if only I could make myself get into bed instead of making entries of bad puns!

I love LOVE - absolutely love the Big Bang Theory!

Going to bed for sleep is hard because I always feel like I am missing out on something.

I'm usually good about it, but everyone once in a while I become an unreasonable 8-year-old once again.

It's almost 7, and I'm thinking about going to bed for a while.

I sometimes have a hard time getting myself to go to bed. I think I'm trying not to let go of the day, because tomorrow has something to dread about it, or today was particularly good.

Yeah, I have that sometimes, too. It's rare for me to give into it so completely.
