Congratulations on finding a nice dress!
The one with the black embroidery is very similar to the one my cousin was married in last fall. But the embroidery on hers was a brilliant deep scarlet, as was the satin binding on the veil. Erin looks so beautiful!!!! I'm glad she found The Dress. :)
Thank you. I bet that dress was gorgeous. We still have to think about the veil, but it was kinda amazing.
Thanks for sharing those! I enjoyed the 'vicarious' experience and I wish all of you the very best in the exciting months ahead!
My 'bride' and her new hubby are finished with a "honeymoon road trip" around the U,S, and are getting settled with new jobs and apartment in Louisville KY!
I knew I couldn't put all those pictures into the original entry, but I wanted to share them.
Congratulations to the bride and groom.
Sometimes planning for the happy moment can be as fun as the moment itself.
Congratulations to Erin and her future beau.
Considering the moment lasts about 10 minutes, the planning had better be fun. It really was a coming-of-age rite, though.
Awww :) I love the "gasp" moment! And you all look so refined at the VTR!
Thanks. We had a great day!
I love the pictures. Thank you for sharing them with us!
You're welcome! It was wonderful.
You/she definitely picked the best dress!
Some other maybes, but that one is perfect!
What a great journey. I loved seeing all of them. And who is the gentleman in the last pic? He looks a bit like my husband.
He is Ferrett. My husband!
And I meant to add - DAMN! That Erin is just drop-dead gorgeous. What a bod! Seeing more pics really opened my eyes.
She is! I did good work! ;-) Both my girls are pretty as all get out. Thank you!
That gasp moment made me tear up a little, which I didn't expect. I'm so glad she caught it! Thank you for sharing even more of your adventure, it really has been a very interesting read.
I am so happy that Meaghan captured it all. I'm terrible at remembering to take pictures, but she is awesome.
Omg, I started tearing up at the gasp moment picture. I am so happy she found her dress, and that you got to have that day together! :)
Thanks. It was a really awesome day.
That looks like so much fun!
Not shopping for a dress is probably my only regret from my wedding. I was going to wear my mother's dress but it wouldn't fit. So one day I snuck away between law school classes and stopped at Davids Bridal. I pulled three dresses off of the rack, really liked one of them, called my mom to have her cone to the store for a look and that was it. I still like the dress I wore, but I should have dragged out the experience a little!
I borrowed my cousin's, so I didn't shop at all. I was really glad to get to do it with her. It was wonderful fun.
This would have been my choice, for me personally, if I were at Running for me. :)
Her choice was gorgeous, and best, it was Her. :)
It stayed with us until the very end, because it was a serious Maybe. But as Erin said, it was just a little too plain for her.
Every bride has a different picture of The Dress. We were lucky enough to have the tears that tell.
Aaaah, that was lovely to look through. So exciting! Thanks for sharing. I'm getting all misty eyed, even.
I've been through them an embarrassing number of times now, and I'm still getting misty-eyed!
I think it's particularly awesome that you have a picture of the "gasp" moment. That's scrapbook gold right there.
I know! It was just amazing good luck that Meaghan had her camera at the right moment.
