Oh, and? [Sep. 29th, 2010|08:43 am]

Thanks to poor listening skills on my part and an assumption that we were all talking about the same thing, Ferrett is double-booked may miss Parent's Weekend with Amy. I feel awful about that, and very sad.

That is part and parcel of a busy active life, I'm afraid. I hope you guys can juggle things so everyone can be where they want and need to be. Try not to feel too badly, it won't make time stretch out for things to fit... :(

Well, that sucks! I hope you all can work things out. We are still hoping to see all of you that weekend (but we will take what we can get). Keep me posted on plans!

I think plans are still staying with you, and Amy over for one night of it, but her dad has insisted on coming down for it, so we have to juggle around him, too. Sorry I've not been better at communicating.

Please let me know as soon as possible! When we last spoke about this you were planning to stay in a hotel, so we really need to have an update ASAP.

I understand, but you know better than I that these things happen. I'm sure he'll be there in spirit.

My mom didn't come to my first Parents' Weekend... she went to my brother's, which was the same weekend.

I would've liked her to be there. But, I respected that she was keeping a commitment to someone else, had to be fair to my brother, and loved me anyway, so in the end, it didn't really matter as much.

Besides, my dad came to my Parents' Weekend, and we had a great dinner that I still remember. There's something to be said for one-parent bonding time, too.

It won't be one-parent: the other set of parents will be there, too.
